Due to Bulldog Bash on September 15th, 2017, the Downtown and City Hall stops on the Old Main Express will pick up behind Regions Bank at the intersection of Lampkin and Jackson Street from the hours of 7 a.m. - 8 p.m. Please contact our office if you have any questions at 662-325-5204.

July 3rd & 4th Holiday Schedule

4th of July

The office of Transit Services will be closed on July 3rd and 4th, 2017 in observance of a federal holiday. We will reopen on Wednesday, July 5th, 2017. 

Monday, July 3rd, 2017

The Sportsplex and Research routes will be closed on Monday, July 3rd, 2017. Boardtown North, Boardtown South, HWY 12 Express, Old Main Express, and the GTR Airport Shuttle will continue to run normal business hours. HWY 12 Express will pick up the Haven12 apartment stop on Monday, July 3rd, 2017. 

Tuesday, July 4th, 2017

All SMART routes will be closed in observance of a federal holiday.

Ride the Bus to Staff Appreciation Day

Staff Appreciation Drop Off

With the relocation of Staff Appreciation Day to Newell-Grissom due to rain and in appreciation of the hard work of all the staff across campus, Parking and Transit Services will be modifying their campus routes to include a temporary stop adjacent to Newell-Grissom. Please see the attached map showing the temporary location.

The following routes will be modified so that the majority of campus will have access to transit services without the need of walking or using your private vehicle:

-          Central Loop – The Central Loop has stops at Montgomery Hall, Barnes and Noble, Giles Hall, the Coliseum, Griffis Hall, Hilbun Hall, Bowen Hall, and Oak Hall.

-          Research Loop – The Research Loop has stops at Giles Hall, the Coliseum, 100 Research Boulevard, the HPCC, CAVS, and Haven 12.

Summer Route Change

GTR Airport Shuttle

Starkville-MSU Area Rapid Transit (SMART) is modifying and closing several routes during the summer,

Route changes

The Central Loop, South Loop and Greek Loop will have limited service from May 8-15. These routes will be suspended with no service from May 16-Aug. 14.

From May 15 to Aug. 14, the Sportsplex Express will service the Wise Center and Forest Products. During this time, the Sportsplex Express will only operate with one shuttle and service times will be delayed.

From May 15 to Aug. 14, the Research Loop will also service Montgomery Hall and hub with the Sportsplex Express and Hwy. 12 Express.

All routes will be suspended Aug. 10-11 for training.

Normal operations

The Boardtown North, Boardtown South, Hwy. 12 Express, Old Main Express and GTRA Express will continue to operate their normal hours during the summer.

All of the SMART routes will resume regular service on Aug. 15. Learn more about SMART at www.smart.msstate.edu.
