NEW ROUTES IN STARKVILLE: JULY 1ST
SMART is excited to announce that we are expanding our routes on JULY 1st! We are covering more areas in Starkville to shop, play, and learn!
Some new area's that we are visiting on the southern part of town is Salvation Army, Dirt Cheap, and Emerson Family School! Starkville High School, Armstrong Middle School, and Sudduth Elementary School will also have a stop right around the corner!
USING THE MAP: On the map, you will find our routes in various colors which cover different areas of Starkville. When looking at the map, you will notice small circles with numbers. Each number has a name assigned to a stop. These are the only places that our buses and trolleys will be able to stop. Also notice our circular HUBS (where two or more buses link or meet). You can jump from one bus to another bus when you reach your hub or destination. If you feel that you need some help at any time, our wonderful drivers will glady assist you. You can also call our office at 662-325-5204 at any time.
TRACKING THE BUS OR TROLLEY: Using your smart phone or any device that connects to the internet, you can visit our website @ www.transit.msstate.edu . This website allows our riders to check on the status of our buses and trolleys. If you need any assistance with this website, please feel free to call our office at 662-325-5204.
A new route, called the HWY 12 Loop, will be a favorite for many of our MSU Students. This route will allow our students to directly connect to our larger, shopping centers, which include Walmart, Vowell's Supermarket, and Kroger.
SMART is a FREE public transportation system for our city of Starkville, and we are proud to keep our buses and trolleys rolling along! Anyone can ride SMART. We ask that riders 16 and under have an adult present when they ride our buses and trolleys.
