S.M.A.R.T. to Host Public Forum
SMART will be hosting a public notice meeting at the Starkville Sportsplex on February 18th, 2015 at 5:30.
During this meeting, we encourage all of our Starkville Community members and businesses to come and support our public transportation system. We will go over any changes to our routes for the 2016 fiscal year. Comments from the public will also be allowed to take place. We look forward to seeing each and every one of you there! PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE - RURAL AREA PROGRAM
All interested public and private transit and paratransit operators within the City of Starkville, Oktibbeha County, Mississippi are hereby advised that Mississippi State University is applying to the Mississippi Department of Transportation, Public Transportation division, Jackson, Mississippi, for a grant under 49 U.S.C. 5311 of the Safe, Accountable, Flexible, Efficient Transportation Equity Act – A Legacy for Users (SAFETEA-LU) and Moving Ahead for Progress in the 21st Century (MAP – 21), for the provision of public transportation services. New advances and changes that will implemented during the fiscal year 2016 will be announced and presented to the public. The purpose of this notice is to advise all interested community members of the proposed changes in services for the coming future.
Comments either for or against this service by the public will be received at any time within 10 days from the date of this notice. All comments should be addressed to MSU Transit Services, P.O. Box 6350, Mississippi State University, Mississippi, 39759.
The venue of the meeting will be held at the Starkville Sportsplex at 405 Lynn Lane, Starkville, MS 39759 at 5:30 p.m. on February 18th, 2015. The Starkville community can access the meeting using the SMART Sportsplex and Boardtown Routes.
